The patient was a 22-year-old man who had lost his leg below the knee due to an accident four years ago and was having his first prosthesis designed and made. It is a delight to see a young patient who has lost a leg for some reason coming in on a wheelchair or with two crutches and leaving on their own feet to start an independent life and growth after a couple of weeks of prosthesis construction and training.
