Complication: Arm fracture
Cause of complication: Falling on the ground with open arms, car accidents, and falling from heights are among the prevalent cause of this complication.
Patient complaints: Extreme pain and swelling sometimes accompanied by numbness in the back of the hand and the inability to lift the fingers due to the radial nerve’s proximity to this bone.
Orthotic treatment: Following conventional treatment such as surgery, implementation, or using U-shaped casts and a neck brace for three to four weeks, this hygienic, light, and comfortable thermoplastic orthosis is prescribed to be worn full-time for three to four weeks.
Prognosis: Treatment ends by seven to eight weeks following fracture if all treatment stages are performed well and the patient has no underlying disease.
